Marcia is a native Washingtonian who has spent most of her life in the Metro DC area.
Marcia graduated from Gallaudet University with a B.A. degree and McDaniel College with a Master’s Degree. After a 30+ year career in the federal government she retired in 2017.
Marcia’s parents, Jean and Izzy Zisman, were among the charter members of WSJD in 1973 and remained faithful members until their passings. She is proud to continue their legacy having served WSJD in different capacities over the years.
She was thrilled to become an adult Bat Mitzvah in August 2022 along with Stephanie Summers under the leadership of Hillel Goldberg.
